I would love to hear from you!

One of the best things you can do for your private One of the best things you can do for your private practice is to pick a marketing strategy and STICK to it! If you want to build your practice through professional referrals then make sure you are taking time each week to connect with other professionals, if you want to build your practice through social media marketing make sure to post consistent high quality content. If you want to build your practice through writing or blogging, make sure to write at least 3 or 4 hours per week. Whatever you do...do it consistently! What I suggest is picking one marketing method and mastering that method before moving on to the next! This will prevent you from jumping from strategy to strategy and watering down your message, brand, and client flow.
😁 Save to reference later 😁 In the comments, 😁 Save to reference later 😁 In the comments, tell me which of these you want to try! The secret is just to get started and try even if you don’t feel qualified. Take one baby step at a time, and soon, you’ll have another stream of income.
1. Creating online courses is a great way to increase your impact and income outside the therapy room. Not sure what to teach? Keep a notebook by your therapy chair and start writing down themes that often come up in sessions.
2. Many companies are looking at ways to promote mental wellness for their employees. Leverage your professional network to connect with business owners and pitch your consulting services.
3. Interested in writing for magazines or online publications. First, start by writing on your own blog. Then use a service like HARO to get quotes in publications. Then submit pitches to online publications.
Therapist who work with teens. Tell me what you sa Therapist who work with teens. Tell me what you say when teenagers start the session with “I have nothing to talk about.”
✨ teens in therapy are often made to feel like they are “the problem.“ By asking them one thing that their parents could be doing differently. We immediately take them out of the role as the identified patient and allow them to open up. The goal of this is not to get them to crap on their parents the entire session. Look, I am a parent too, and we all have things we could be doing differently. Our goal with therapy for teens is to create a space where they feel safe enough to open up and sometimes that starts with talking about something that is not them.

🫶🏻I’m launching a series that delves into the nitty-gritty of creating multiple income streams as a therapist. Heads up, this chat gets honest about money and earning potential.

❤️ A few years back, burnout hit me hard from my 1-on-1 client overload. Now, don’t get me wrong—I cherished those sessions, but I was planning to get pregnant and wanted to detach earnings from the hours I spent in my chair 🪑.

👶🏻 And guess what? Around that time, a baby arrived, and the whole world flipped with a pandemic.

🙌 Amidst all this chaos, I followed online parenting experts, watching them sell parenting courses. A thought struck me: Why couldn’t therapists do the same? Why couldn’t I do the same?

🫶🏻 So, I made it my mission to figure out how other professions used their social media presence to earn income outside of one-to-one billing.

🌸 Fast forward two years, and I’ve nurtured a thriving social media following that’s become a platform for selling online, crafting brand content, hosting workshops, creating a podcast revenue stream, and jumping into affiliate marketing.

🤚 Now, let me clarify: I’m not on team “passive income” – I don’t believe it exists. But I have mastered unhooking my 🪑 chair time from my earning potential.

And now, the scoop you’ve been waiting for:

💰 In July 2023, I’m spilling the beans on my earnings beyond those one-on-one therapy sessions. Brace yourselves and scroll on if this is triggering for you.

Last month, I grossed the following:

-$9,908 from selling my online products
-$ 10,000 from user-generated content creation (aka content that doesn’t appear on my Instagram page, such as commercials/training, etc.)
-$3,100 from sponsored content (aka the branded content on my page)
-$ 12,508 in affiliate revenue

But here’s the kicker: It’s not all revenue. I’ve invested BACK into my business by paying my team to crank out podcasts, rebrand my webpage, help me streamline my social media archive, edit videos, and produce two new online courses. I’ve invested BACK into my business and my team so that I can continue to grow (CONTINUED IN FIRST COMMMENT)

✌️One of the most important things to remember about pitching yourself as a guest therapist on podcasts is that you aren't just there to market your practice or product. You are there to give their listeners something of VALUE.

❤️Before you contact a podcast host, make sure to listen to the podcast and brainstorm topics you can discuss on their show. This shows the host that you have their audience in mind! Most good podcast hosts will give you some time to introduce yourself and let people know what you do and how to contact you. Here are some great therapy podcasts I love @therapyreimagined @shrinkchicks @abadtherapistpod @estherperelofficial @practiceofthepractice
